7/30/12

Highs:
  • I'm definitely addicted to Bachelor Pad. It's so bad, it's good.

Lows:
  • Going back to work after a 3-day weekend (since I took Friday off) was pretty rough.
  • I'm starting to go downhill when it comes to eating and working out. I'm falling off the wagon, and I need to step it up! I think I'm going to the gym on Wednesday with Shannon so hopefully that will be a step in the right direction. Ugh. Losing weight is so hard! :-/

7/22/12

Highs:
  • Kristen and I went on a nice walk/hike (more of a walk).
  • I decided I want to run in a 5K in the Fall. Yeah, we'll see how this plays out! Haha!

Lows:
  • I've been up since 7am. Ugh. Long day.

7/21/12

Highs:
  • I finally saw Magic Mike! Yikes, I saw a lot of tan butts! Haha! And dang, Matt Bomer is soooo sexy!!!!
  • Carrie and I went to Champps for lunch; it was so yummy!
  • We got Chinese food for dinner; it's my favorite!
  • I was able to curl up on the couch in sweatpants and read. I love this chillier weather!
  • "I, Michael Bennett" is really good so far! James Patterson has done it again!

Lows:
  • It was rainy today so the drive to Columbia was a little intense at times.

7/20/12

Highs:
  • I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!! It's not the one I interviewed for haha, but there's a long-term sub position available in Kindergarten, and the principal said the teacher just put in a letter that she wasn't come back now. It's going to become a long-term position, but it's technically considered "long-term sub" as of now, but that's okay! It's something! And I don't have to work for the Y anymore!! Yayyyyy!! HR is going to call me on Mon or Tues to make it official!
  • It was great weather at the pool today! It was cloudy with the threat of a thunderstorm the entire time. I don't think it even reached the 80s! Yes!
  • It's Friday!

Lows:
  • I heard about the tragedy at the movie theater in Colorado today. So sad. My heart goes out to everyone affected. :(
  • The kids were terrible today at the pool. Their behavior has been ridiculous lately, and I can't stand it!

Sunday, July 15, 2012

7/15/12

Highs:
  • I went to the driving range with my dad today! I haven't played golf in probably 2-3 years, but I wasn't half bad! I was hitting my driver pretty well.
  • I finally watched Safe House...great movie!! Ryan Reynolds was really good in it too!

Lows:
  • I have to work 8-4:30 all week since Shannon is on vacation. I am SO not looking forward to that!!
  • I had to write up one of my staff; I'm pretty sure that conversation is not going to go well tomorrow.

Friday, July 13, 2012

7/13/12

Highs:
  • I have another interview lined up for next week! I'm extremely nervous for this one though (see lows).
  • It's Friday!

Lows:
  • My interview is at the school where my boyfriend works, and the principal is the mother of one of my staff. AWKWARD. I'm so nervous, and it's not until Wednesday. Ugh.
  • The kids were kind of crazy at work today.
  • I haven't worked out since Sunday! I pulled a hip muscle and couldn't work on Monday-Wednesday. Yesterday, I had a field trip where I walked outside all day, and then today was pool day, which makes me lazy. I'll start doing better.

Thursday, July 12, 2012

7/12/12

Highs:
  • My interview went well yesterday (I guess? haha). I answered all of her questions, and she said she liked my resume. I don't want to get my hopes up though. Who knows what will happen. I'd LIKE something closer, but I'll take what I can get I guess.

Lows:
  • We had a long field trip today. We rode an hour and 40 minutes each way just to go to a zoo. It definitely wasn't worth it; the zoo wasn't that great.
  • There was a late parent at work today.

Monday, July 9, 2012

7/9/12

Highs:
  • Since I was up early (see lows), I was able to watch Boy Meets World. Great show.
  • I got an email about a possible job interview for Wednesday! The only downside is it's over an hour away, and I'm sure the interview (if I get one) will be like 30 minutes.
  • The HR Derby was on tonight. That's always fun to watch.

Lows:
  • I woke up at 7am when I didn't have to work until 11. I couldn't fall back asleep either. Plus, I couldn't fall asleep until almost 1am; I hate how I can't sleep! It's getting to be really frustrating.
  • My hip is still bothering me. I think it's starting to "pop" when I walk. What does that even mean? I hope it goes away soon. I definitely pulled something though. Ugh.
  • I need a vacation. I need to go somewhere far and just RELAX! Everything frustrates me lately, and I just need to get away.

Sunday, July 8, 2012

7/8/12

Highs:
  • I made a smoothie for breakfast. It was a banana and peach smoothie with a little orange juice. It was delicious!
  • I had a great workout today! I ran 3 miles (without stopping!), and then I did the shoulders and arms workout from Supreme 90 Day. I was pretty much dead when I was finished!
  • I just bought some cute earrings from Etsy.

Lows:
  • I'm pretty sure I pulled a hip muscle (maybe my hip flexor?). I hope it goes away soon!

Saturday, July 7, 2012

7/7/12

Highs:
  • I went hiking today! It was really hot out so I was sweating like crazy! But that's what I wanted. I feel accomplished in my workout when I sweat.
  • It's Saturday. I love a relaxing Saturday.
  • The Yankees beat the Red Sox in the first game of a double header today. They won 6-1.
  • I had a nice, relaxing night with Tom. It was fun!

Lows:
  • Today seemed kind of long.
  • The Yankees lost their second game 5-9.

Friday, July 6, 2012

7/6/12

Highs:
  • I had a 'Highs and Lows' blog on Tumblr, but I like Blogspot better so here I am! I copy and pasted my previous posts from Tumblr to here, which is why I have a ton of posts in July already.
  • Today is Friday!
  • I only worked 12:30-6 (instead of 11-6). Plus, I only had to go to the pool for an hour (not too bad since it was hot).

Lows:
  • It was pool day today; I hate pool day.
  • The kids were a little crazy at work.
  • I kind of neglected this blog, but now I'm back (hopefully)!

4/15/12

Highs:
  • I ran 2.5 miles without stopping! I’ve never done that before! And it may never happen again, but I can say it actually happened once! Haha.
  • Kristen missed Grimm on Friday so we watched it again. I really do love that show. It’s so interesting!
  • This is a high from yesterday: I finally watched Breaking Dawn Part 1. It was pretty good! Part 2 should be interesting…can’t wait!

Lows:
  • There’s work tomorrow. Boo.
  • I’m sort of making progress with a certain someone, but it’s going very slowly. I’m all for slow, but I feel like we’re moving backwards.

4/13/12

Highs:
  • Grimm was awesome. The show really does rock!
  • I had a yummy BLT sub from Wawa for lunch.
  • I made a cute giraffe at work (using clothespins for the legs).

Lows:
  • We had a half day at school so we got the kids from 1-6. Some of them were awful. It was a long day. I REALLY hate half days.
  • A certain someone has not called me about a certain something. Hmm.

4/11/12

Highs:
  • I woke up to a Yankees win. They beat the Orioles 5-4 in 12 innings. Nice job boys.
  • Darren Criss finally tweeted. It’s been a while. I like when he tweets.
  • Alimi Ballard (from Numb3rs and who I follow on Twitter) followed me on Instagram. Exciting!
  • I tweeted about those 3 things above, and Alimi Ballard RETWEETED my tweet! More exciting news! ;)

Lows:
  • One of the other directors is trying to steal my staff for 2 days in May. She thinks she can do anything, and it’s really annoying.

4/10/12

Highs:
  • Glee finally returned after being on hiatus for 7 weeks!!!! The episode revolved around Blaine and his brother (guest star Matt Bomer). Um, best episode of Glee ever (it didn’t disappoint)!!! I love Matt Bomer on White Collar, and I’m soooo glad he guest starred on Glee! He needs to come back! Amazing songs in the episode too!
  • The kids at work were pretty good today! It was the day after Spring Break so I thought they would be crazy, but they weren’t bad at all.
  • They showed that Gavin DeGraw carried Melissa Gilbert off to get medical attention last night (on Dancing with the Stars). That was soooo sweet! It’s nice to see chivalry isn’t dead.

Lows:
  • Sherri Shepherd got voted off Dancing with the Stars. Boo. I liked her; she’s hilarious.
  • Getting up for work today was a little rough. I’m sure I’ll feel it more tomorrow. Ugh.

4/7/12

Highs:
  • I went on a [first] date! We went to Chilis and the Orioles game. I had a really good time. We kind of already planned our next date too haha. :)
  • I hadn’t been to a live baseball game in a while so it was great to go again.

Lows:
  • The Yankees lost. Again. Not a good way to start the season boys. Pick it up.

4/6/12

Highs:
  • A certain someone called me today. We’re going to Bahama Breeze for dinner tomorrow, and then we’re going to the Orioles game. I’m excited!
  • Grimm was new tonight. I love Grimm.
  • My Mom and I went hiking today. I like this whole walking-outside thing.
  • It’s First Listen Friday on Glee’s music site! 3 songs [so far] have been released that will be in Tuesday’s episode.
  • Blaine/Darren Criss will be singing 3 songs in Tuesday’s episode (1 by himself and 2 with Matt Bomer)! I am so excited!

Lows:
  • The Yankees lost. They’re 0-1. Yeesh.

4/5/12

Highs:
  • Just tried out my new earbuds (not while running), but they seem to work well. They don’t fall out, but the real test will be when I used them for what I bought them for (running). Let’s do this.

Lows:
  • I saw Tom today at the camp meeting. He didn’t talk to me though, which I thought he would. Fail.
  • I had a camp meeting today. It went longer than I thought. Ugh.
  • I just watched Top Shot from Tuesday, and my favorite person got sent home. Boo.

4/3/12

Highs:
  • Glee released the full performance of Darren Criss and Matt Bomer singing “Somebody That I Used To Know”!!! I’ve watched the video numerous times already haha…so much hotness in one video <3
  • Shannon’s daughter Addisyn came to the camp meeting today, and she loved me! We bonded and became best friends. She’s 16 months haha…so cute!
  • 1 week until a new episode of Glee!!!! It’s so close! Yay!
  • Camp meeting was supposed to go until 2, but we got out a little earlier. That’s always nice.
  • I’m pretty sure I’ve lost 20 pounds! Go me!

Lows:
  • I wish there was a new episode of Glee tonight. Oh well, 1 more week!

4/2/12

Highs:
  • I didn’t get pranked yesterday! It was April Fool’s Day of course. I was afraid someone would try and pull something on me, but NOPE!
  • I’m on Spring Break. Enough said.
  • No work today (or the rest of the week).
  • Our camp meeting that was supposed to be an hour away (tomorrow) has been moved to our office! Really happy about that!

Lows:
  • I found out we have another camp meeting on Thursday, and this one WILL BE an hour away, although my boss is driving so the company pays for it. I don’t have to pay her for gas, which is nice.

3/31/12

Highs:
  • I just ate a yummy dinner from Basta Pasta.
  • I orderedThe Hunger Games, and it came in the mail today! I read the book last year (before the craziness began), but I’d like to read it again. It’s a good book.
  • I enjoyed a nice hour of listening to my iPod and doing crossword puzzles. It was relaxing.

Lows:
  • I woke up around 3:20am with bad cramps (I hate being a girl sometime). I couldn’t fall back asleep for over 2 hours. I felt like crap. It sucked.
  • I’m having a hard time finding the right bathroom scale. I’m being very picky, and it’s bothering me. I want the most accurate one, but I’m thinking they’re all inaccurate in some way. Ugh.

3/28/12

Highs:
  • Well if I wasn’t freaking out about Glee being on in less than 2 weeks, I definitely am now (although I was before ha). I just saw the sneak peak preview for “Big Brother”. I am officially melting. Matt Bomer can SING! I knew that, but dang, I love his voice.
  • I’m 60% done with the week. I’m so close to spring break.

Lows:
  • I’m tired of people complaining about doing things. Just do it. Stop b*tching about it. That solves nothing, and you’ll have to do it anyway.

3/27/12

Highs:
  • I’m 40% done with the week. I am so ready for the weekend/spring break.

Lows:
  • Anita told pretty much everyone that it was her birthday today. She got lots of cards, a cupcake, and candy. I don’t feel the need to broadcast when it’s my birthday. Kind of annoying and seems needy.
  • Work stuff. What else is new?

3/26/12

Highs:
  • Surprisingly, this is going to be a high: I decided that every time I workout in the next 2 weeks, I am going to run. Time to step it up.
  • I am 20% done with the week.
  • Dancing with the Stars was on tonight. Yay.
  • I finally saw a picture of Matt Bomer from Glee’s episode “Big Brother”. Darren Criss was also in the picture (since Matt is playing his older brother). I am beyond ecstatic. BEYOND.

Lows:
  • When it’s my birthday (it’s not), I don’t feel the need to broadcast it everywhere just to get presents. I hate people like that.
  • I realized I’m starting to snack again. The good thing is that I’m not eating crazy things and a lot, but I’m still starting to snack. I need to give up snacking unless I’m REALLY hungry. I’m not. I’m just bored. I need to fight this.

3/25/12

Highs:
  • I started using Nike + GPS on my iPod. I like it so far! I had a pretty good run this morning too.
  • No work today. I love the weekend.

Lows:
  • Today was Sarah’s bridal shower. That wasn’t the low because Sarah is a good friend; the low was that it was the most awkward and uncomfortable 2 hours and 15 minutes of my life. Carrie was supposed to go, but of course she didn’t (shocker) so I didn’t know anyone at the shower besides the bride-to-be. Then, Sarah wanted to introduce me to her bridesmaids, which was fine, until after she introduced me, SHE WALKED AWAY. I was left there with her 6 bridesmaids. So uncomfortable. Luckily I left soon after that. Ugh.

3/23/12

Highs:
  • It’s Friday.

Lows:
  • I had a Director’s meeting today, and I had to sort all of the Log Cabin candy. It took forever. Pain in my butt. I’m so glad to be getting rid of most of it this afternoon.
  • Grimm was a repeat.
  • One of the parents who said they were going to drop by the center to pick up their Log Cabin order never showed. Our last kid left around 5:45pm so I waited an extra 10 minutes for her to show. Nothing. Kind of rude.

3/21/12

Highs:
  • 2 more days left in the week. I like that.
  • I made a delicious dinner. Yum.

Lows:
  • Just some stuff at work. I can’t wait until the summer so the school year will be over. I hate the summer though. Ha.
  • I wanted Subway for dinner. I didn’t get Subway.
  • Workout was okay today. Nothing amazing. I need to step it up.

3/20/12

Highs:
  • I’m 40% done with the work week. Exciting.

Lows:
  • I hate Tuesdays (aka second Monday). I was really tired this morning. Ugh.
  • Glee wasn’t on. I miss Glee.
  • I went to the doctors. I hate the doctors. I hate getting shots. I hate waiting. I hate that blood pressure cuff that sucks the life out of my arm. I hate the doctors. I really do.

3/18/12

Highs:
  • No work today. I love the weekend.
  • I tried Tae Bo and didn’t die. It wasn’t too bad.
  • Glee comes back in 23 days! Although that’s kind of long and could be considered a low.

Lows:
  • I SERIOUSLY hate trying to lose weight. I would love to just sit on the couch with a bag of peanut M&Ms and eat half of the bag in one sitting. I hate counting calories, and I hate that losing weight is so hard. I’m really trying though, but it’s tough. Ugh.
  • I work up at 4:30am this morning and couldn’t fall back asleep until 6am. Stupid dream freaked me out.

3/16/12

Highs:
  • It’s Friday.
  • I got to talk to Po (my secret code name for someone). Although the reason I spoke to him is a low (see below).

Low:
  • I got a court summons today for a court date next month. That’s the reason I spoke to Po (his family is involved). I’m not in trouble or anything; I’m being called as a witness. A court summons is no fun to get, especially on a Friday.
  • Grimm was a repeat.

3/15/12

Highs:
  • I met Christina, Sarah, and Elizabeth for dinner. I haven’t seen Christina in 2 years since she moved to Texas. It was nice seeing the girls! We had a great dinner.
  • I had a delicious Crispy Chicken Wrap from Red Brick Station.

Lows:
  • I’m still kind of stuck for this weight-loss thing. I need to get over this second plateau. I can do it.

3/11/12

Highs:
  • I did another good workout today.
  • I don’t mind that we lost an hour of sleep for Daylight Savings. I just like that it’s going to be light when I leave work now. Yay.
  • The NCAA brackets have been announced! I hate watching basketball, and I won’t watch 1 game this tournament, but I love filling out the bracket!

Lows:
  • It was kind of a long, boring day. Ugh.
  • Tomorrow is Monday. Ugh again.

3/10/12

Highs:
  • I’m pretty proud of my workout today. I did a Speed Interval program on the treadmill for 20 minutes, and then I did an hour workout DVD (Bob Harper: Ultimate Cardio Body). Go me.
  • I got my friend’s bridal shower and wedding gifts at Kohls today. I saved some money too. I love Kohls.
  • I love that I’m actually sticking to this weight-loss plan of mine. I’m SO proud of myself. Again, go me!

Lows:
  • Having my boss try and set me up with a guy is turning into this awkward thing. Let’s see how it plays out.

3/9/12

Highs:
  • I had my screening interview for FCPS today, and it went really well! I loved the guy who interviewed me; he made me feel really comfortable, and we actually had a conversation instead of me awkwardly answering his questions. He told me I did really well, which made me even more excited. Plus, he wore a BOW TIE. Like Blaine Anderson/Darren Criss from Glee. I was so excited. Ha.
  • My sunglasses FINALLY came! It’s been almost a month (they came from China), but they finally arrived. I love them.

Lows:
  • I accidentally broke Lent today at work. I am so disappointed in myself. I gave up candy, and I ate a cookie with M&Ms in it. At least I didn’t eat candy on purpose. I still broke Lent though. Boo.

3/6/12

Highs:
  • I’m really liking Matthew Morrison’s CD.
  • I’m almost halfway to my weight-loss goal! I can do it! :)

Lows:
  • I got my hair cut. She cut it a little shorter than I wanted. I hate getting my hair cut. I like my hair long. My hair seems so short now (it’s not). Boo.
  • I had to meet my boss at Best Buy to order a new refrigerator for work. I really didn’t need to go. I think she just wanted a friend to keep her company. Then she decided to check out the iPods, and of course I had to go with her (even though I just wanted to leave and come home). Weird.
  • I didn’t get in a good workout. I was feeling lazy and tired I guess. Oh well, I’m getting Jillian’s new kickboxing DVD tonight from the library so I’ll put in extra effort in tomorrow’s workout.

3/5/12

Highs:
  • I watched Breakout Kings from last night. It was SO good! I liked everything but one thing (see lows).
  • Domenick Lombardozzi replied to one of my tweets on Twitter. He’s from Breakout Kings. Cool beans.
  • My mouse works again! I don’t know why, and I don’t know if it’s going to last, but it works! It’s a Monday miracle!

Lows:
  • Not to spoil anything, but one of the main characters died on Breakout Kings! I cried a little. It was sad. Boo.
  • It’s Monday. Yuck.

3/4/12

Highs:
  • New photos of Darren Criss have circulated the internet. I love the internet so much right now.
  • I’m really starting to love Instagram. It’s addicting.
  • We had pizza for dinner. Good way to end the weekend.

Lows:
  • My mouse for my laptop all of a sudden stopped working. Now not one mouse will work on my laptop. It’s not the mouse because it works on another computer. I can plug in my flashdrive so it’s not the port. My dad called Dell, but we really didn’t get anywhere. I want to be able to use my mouse. Ugh, this is annoying.
  • My planned Kickboxing workout was a bust. It was way too slow, and the DVD (from the library) skipped at some parts. Not cool. I made up for it though with another exercise.

2/27/12

Highs:
  • I had a pretty good workout today. I really liked Kim’s 10 minute section from Biggest Loser’s Power Sculpt. I might add that to the end of all my workouts. It really works my arms and abs.
  • I had a delicious lunch. I ate Smart Ones frozen Thai Style Chicken and Rice Noodles meal.

Lows:
  • It’s Monday. Enough said.
  • I made a doctors appointment for my shoulder. It’s been bothering me a lot more lately. Grrr.

2/25/12

Highs:
  • I went to Target today and got a new hair product. Although some may say that’s a low since I have a hair product addiction. I disagree. Hehe.
  • I slept until 9am. Score one for me.
  • I got Subway for dinner. I love Subway.

Lows:
  • It was a boring day. I didn’t meet my friends for lunch (those plans fell through). Yeah, a boring, long day.
  • I’ve hit a plateau with this whole weight-loss thing. I need to get over this hurdle. I can do it!

2/21/12

Highs:
  • Holy crap! Glee was freaking amazing tonight! It was such an emotional episode (one like they never done before), and it was just so good! I cried like a little baby. I love Glee for so many reasons, and I think tonight’s episode proved my point. The messages the show has are just amazing for young viewers. I love this show!
  • I loved Blaine’s version of “Cough Syrup”. I just love Blaine. So true.
  • New Girl was good too!

Lows:
  • After tonight’s episode, Glee will be on hiatus for 6 weeks! That’s way too long! It comes back April 10th. I can’t wait.

2/20/12

Highs:
  • There was no school today.
  • I got to catch up on some TV from last week.
  • I am still sticking with my “diet”. Go me!
  • Glee is on tomorrow. I’m excited!

Lows:
  • I had a meeting for camp. They’re usually pointless, and it was.
  • My days are being thrown off since we didn’t have school today. I keep forgetting it’s Monday.

2/19/12

Highs:
  • The scale says I lost 7 pounds. It better not be tricking me! I’m realizing I’m a little happier when I lose weight. Let’s keep this going!
  • There’s no school tomorrow!
  • I just bought some new, “healthier” food.

Lows:
  • After Tuesday, Glee is going on a 6-week hiatus! Um, not cool! 6 weeks? That feels like forever!
  • I have a camp meeting tomorrow. At least it’s only 2 hours, and I don’t have to wake up too early.

2/14/12

Highs:
  • Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m single, but I’m not bitter about it. I’m waiting for Mr. Right. He will come. Someday. :)
  • Glee was amazing! I was freaking out for many reasons, on the verge of tears for other ones, and just excited in general. I love this show.
  • I got chocolates (and soup) from my parents. Is that lame that it came from my parents? I don’t know, still exciting though. And yes, I said soup.
  • Blaine/Darren Criss came back on Glee! I only had one issue with this (see lows). He performed “Love Shack” though, and I loved his performance.

Lows:
  • Blaine was in the episode for only 5 minutes! He performed the last song (at 8:55pm), but I would have liked to have seen him in much more of the episode!

2/11/12

Highs:
  • My shopping trip (and running errands) was successful. I got some plug-in refills from Yankee Candle, a new pair of sneakers/shoes, some things at Walmart, and some things at Kohls.
  • I got some good candle pictures I’ll try and use for my photography class.
  • I took a landscape that I like as well. It snowed last night so I was able to take one with snow before it melted.
  • Even though we waited a long time to get our food at dinner, it was delicious! I got a Reuben sandwich with mashed potatoes; everything was tasty!

Lows:
  • I’m massively addicted to technology: my computer, phone, my iPod, and the TV. I love them all way too much. It’s not really a “bad” thing, but I’m just realizing it.
  • We went to the Fisherman’s Catch for dinner, and the service was really slow. We waited over 30 minutes to get out food. Plus, our server wasn’t friendly.

2/6/12

Highs:
  • I saw a shooting star! So exciting! It’s my first one. I made a wish. Let’s see if it comes true.
  • Hawaii Five-0 is on tonight; it looks so good! I can’t wait!
  • I’m watching The Voice. I really do enjoy this show.

Lows:
  • It’s Monday. No one likes Monday.
  • I was shunned to the basement this morning when I got home since my Mom had company over. I couldn’t watch taped shows from yesterday. Bummer.

2/5/12

Highs:
  • It’s Darren Criss’ birthday! Happy Birthday! I really do love him.
  • The Super Bowl was today! Patriots vs. Giants.
  • I made 2 yummy dishes for the game: kielbasa puffs and water chestnuts with bacon. They were tasty.
  • I had a nice photo shoot with Kristen. She’s a good sport.
  • I finally downloaded more Glee songs. It’s great music!

Lows:
  • The Patriots lost to the Giants 17-21. They just didn’t have it tonight. They gave up a lot of passes, and they weren’t catching on offense. They basically didn’t deserve to win. It was a pretty good game to watch nonetheless. I wish they would have won though. I do not like the Giants. Or Eli Manning.
  • I had to clean my room/the house. I hate cleaning.

1/30/12

Highs:
  • I finally had my doctor’s appointment for my shoulder. I got an x-ray so hopefully the results, which I’ll get in 1-2 days, will at least show and tell me something.
  • My appointment was at 8:30am so I didn’t have to work this morning.

Lows:
  • I had to go to the office to turn something in, and I hadn’t planned on doing that (until tomorrow). People need to be more flexible, especially to people who never turn in anything late, and who asked in advanced. Yeah, I wasn’t happy to make the extra stop.
  • I really hate waiting. I went to Radiology (signed in semi-quickly) but then preceded to wait for 30 minutes to be called. To make matters worse, the x-ray part took only 5 minutes. I hate waiting.
  • My doctor basically wants me to become a drug addict. She wants me to take 4 ibuprofen with 3 meals each day. That’s 12 pills a day. A day. And she wants me to do this for 2 weeks. You do the math.
  • I got a flu shot in my left arm, and it’s been bothering me all day! Flu shots usually do bother me, but it’s the same arm where my shoulder hurts so it’s kind of mixing together. It’s not a good feeling. I hate getting flu shots. I don’t like shots.

1/29/12

Highs:
  • I’m watching the SAG Awards. Award shows are entertaining.
  • I can sleep in tomorrow. Well, a little bit. I have a doctors appointment at 8:30am so instead of getting up at 5:45am, I can sleep until 7am. Yay me.

Lows:
  • I was up at 7:30am this morning so the morning seemed really long.
  • I had a massive headache for a good part of the afternoon/evening. Not cool.
  • There was no football today. Tear.

1/26/11

Highs:
  • I got Subway for dinner. It’s becoming a favorite.
  • Tomorrow is Friday. I love Fridays.

Lows:
  • I had a meeting for summer camp today (yes, it’s still January). It was kind of pointless because I’m pretty sure I didn’t come away with any new information.
  • My shoulder has been hurting me pretty much all day. I think it’s the rain. Luckily, I have a doctors appointment on Monday.
  • The kids were rude at work, and I was getting really annoyed.

1/24/12

Highs:
  • I finally tried a flatbread at Subway! It was delicious.
  • I got off of work at 12:30.
  • There’s only school on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. 3 more days. I can do it!
  • I enjoyed a nice, little Big Bang Theory marathon tonight. I wish I was friends with Sheldon Cooper.

Lows:
  • The kids wore me out at work so I was really tired.
  • People [in my company] are REALLY starting to piss me off.

1/22/12

Highs:
  • The Patriots are headed to the SUPER BOWL!!!! They may have gotten lucky and could have played better…but I’ll take it!
  • I don’t have to hear about the Ravens at work anymore! Well, I’ll probably still hear about how they should have won, but I’d rather hear than then have 2 weeks of them gloating.
  • I got in a good workout this morning. I’m really liking the Cardio Boxing on Gold’s Gym Dance Workout (for the Wii).

Lows:
  • Tom Brady could have played better. The team got lucky with the win.
  • I almost had a heart attack while watching this game. Not cool.

1/15/12

Highs:
  • I did a new kickboxing DVD, and I actually like it! I’ve very picky about kickboxing DVDs so I’m glad I found another one I like.
  • I have tomorrow off. Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Lows:
  • The Ravens won, which means they’ll face the Patriots in the AFC Championship next week. This should be interesting! If the Patriots lose, I’ll never hear the end of it at work, and I don’t mean from staff: I mean from all the kids haha.
  • I didn’t get to Zumba today. I waited too long, and the Ravens game was starting so I had to do a workout video in the basement instead. Boo.

1/9/12

Highs:
  • It’s my birthday! And Kayla’s birthday! I had a pretty good birthday too. One of my kids bought me a piece of cake, and they all sang Happy Birthday to me at work (well the 3 hours I actually did go to work).
  • I took the morning off so I got to sleep in (if you count 8:30 sleeping in lol)!
  • My birthday presents consisted of: a candle, a lighter (I don’t use matches), little knickknacks, a Wawa gift card, a calendar, and fingerless gloves/mittens.
  • I’m going to start reading Rob Lowe’s book “Stories I Only Tell My Friends” tonight. I heard it was good, and I love Rob Lowe so I can’t wait!

Lows:
  • None!

1/8/12

Highs:
  • We went to VA to visit Kayla for a birthday lunch.
  • I got the most delicious meal at Olive Garden. It’s called Baked Pasta Romana with Beef. It was amazing!
  • Kayla gave me these gloves/mittens and a full-length mirror as my birthday gift. I love both.
  • The Broncos and Steelers game was interesting and fun to watch. The Broncos won on the first drive in OT. They’ll play the Patriots next Saturday. Go Patriots!
  • I bought Peppermint Bark. Originally $9.99, I got it on sale for $2.50. Good deal, and it’s so good!
  • It’s my birthday tomorrow!! And Kayla’s too! Hehe!

Lows:
  • The car drive down to VA seemed long. I hate long car rides. It was only an hour and a half, but it seemed much longer.

1/7/12

Highs:
  • I met Carrie for lunch at PF Changs. I really do love PF Changs.
  • Carrie (with a suggestion from her husband Ed) paid for lunch. That was really nice!
  • Carrie gave me a framed photo from the wedding.
  • I had a mini Big Bang Theory marathon. I love that show.

Lows:
  • Eating better has proven to be a challenge so far, and eating out again today didn’t really help.

1/3/12

Highs:
  • NCIS was good.
  • Kristen, my Mom, and I watched repeats of New Girl. That show is hilarious!
  • The kids weren’t too crazy at work. It was the first day back from winter break so I thought they would be crazy, but they were pretty good.
  • This was from a couple days ago, but I just remembered: I lit a candle! It’s the first time I’ve ever lit a candle. Yes, that seems weird, but I tried striking a match when I was like 14 or something, and I thought it was going to burn my hand so I threw it in the counter (no damage). I’ve never attempted since, until a couple days ago. I didn’t use a match though; I used a long lighter. Still, it was exciting! Haha!

Lows:
  • I don’t really like one of the ladies who works at the billing office. She’s very vague in her emails, and she never responds when I ask her questions.

1/2/12

Highs:
  • It’s Kristen’s birthday! Happy Birthday to my big sister!
  • We went to Chopstix for lunch, and it was delicious.

Lows:
  • Today is the last day of winter break. I really don’t want to go to work tomorrow. I’ve had 7 days off work so it’s been nice. Ugh.
  • I’m getting sucked into The Bachelor. Yes, this is a low. I didn’t want to watch it, but nothing else was on! I don’t know why, but this show is kind of addicting.

1/1/12

Highs:
  • It’s a new year! Welcome to 2012!
  • My room is looking a lot cleaner.
  • The Patriots won.

Lows:
  • There’s only 1 more day of winter break; say it ain’t so!
  • I cleaned my room. I hate cleaning.

12/28/11

Highs:
  • I just found out there’s going to be an Ice Age 4!!! I am soooo excited! That pretty much made my day…and week.
  • I had a good workout using the Wii (Zumba and Gold’s Gym Cardio Workout). Although towards the end, I started to feel like I was going to vomit (see lows).

Lows:
  • I’m getting sick. I think it’s just a head cold (what I typically get), but it stinks. I have a headache and a little cough. Boo.

12/27/11

Highs:
  • I ran some errands at Walmart. I like Walmart.
  • I used the new hand weights Kristen got me while I did kickboxing. I really like them.
  • We had pot roast for dinner. It’s one of my favorite meals.

Lows:
  • It was rainy and yucky.

12/26/11

Highs:
  • I got a really good workout in today using the Wii. I did Gold’s Gym Cardio Workout. It was intense!
  • Today starts the week-long vacation I took. Yay!
  • I edited a new photo.
  • For dinner, I had a delicious grilled cheese (Swiss with a little pepper jack) and ham sandwich. Then I also had Tomato Bisque soup. Yummy!
  • Drew Brees set a new NFL record with passing yards in a season. Congrats to him!

Lows:
  • I kind of wanted to go shopping but ended up not going. That could have been a good thing since I heard it was crowded today.

12/25/11

Highs:
  • It’s Christmas, my favorite holiday! Merry Christmas everyone!
  • I got a lot of great stuff: a Patriots ornament, a Patriots drawstring bag, Patriots playing cards, a Wes Welker framed picture (do you see a theme here?), Tommy girl perfume, hand weights, DVDs and gift cards.
  • I gave pretty good gifts this year; probably my best gifts ever . Go me.
  • Dinner was delicious. We had lamb.

Lows:
  • The day seemed kind of long, although that wasn’t even really a bad thing.

12/23/11

Highs:
  • I just started watching The Big Bang Theory on DVD. I really like it so far. The theme song is catchy.
  • 2 more days until Christmas.
  • I went out to eat with my Mom and 2 sisters. It was just us girls for lunch.
  • The french fries at the restaurant were tasty.

Lows:
  • I’ve been up since 7am. Not cool.
  • It’s been a long day.
  • It took us 25 minutes to be seated for lunch when the hostess said 10 minutes.
  • Our waiter was slow.
  • Traffic was a little crazy today. I expected nothing less 2 days before Christmas.

12/18/11

Highs:
  • The Patriots were on TV.
  • The Patriots beat the Broncos 41-23.
  • The Patriots, with their win, clinched the AFC East.
  • I slept until 9:30. Score one for me.
  • The Ravens lost.
  • The Packers lost. Their perfect season is over. They are now 13-1.
  • The Colts won. Good for them! They are now 1-13.

Lows:
  • Sundays usually drag on. I hate long days.
  • Sophie won Survivor. Ozzy should have won, but since he wasn’t in the final 3, I wanted at least Coach to win. That didn’t happen. I’m not happy.

12/16/11

Highs:
  • Grimm was on tonight. I am really loving this show.
  • It’s Friday.
  • We did a Chinese gift exchange at our Director’s Meeting. I came home with Russell Stovers chocolates. I was definitely okay with that!
  • Dad cooked dinner, which meant we ordered out! Haha! We split a cheese steak sub and some pizza. Yum!

Lows:
  • The kids at work have been crazy. I know the holiday break is coming up, but they are driving me nuts!
  • The person who got my gift at the gift exchange is a good friend of mine but was a little rude about picking my gift. I brought Hershey’s Pot-o-Gold chocolates and a chocolate orange (sounds good, right?), but she wasn’t too fond of the chocolate orange and let me know about it. I didn’t tell her she picked my gift, but it was definitely rude of her to say she wanted to trade it. She’s never even had a chocolate orange but assumed it tasted bad and wanted to get rid of it. Definitely a rude thing to do. I would never do that.

12/11/11

Highs:
  • The Patriots won.
  • Zumba was fun this morning. I got it for the Wii, and I’m loving it so far!

Lows:
  • I did the Calorie Knockout video from the Biggest Loser, and although the workout is pretty good, Anna Kournikova is by far the worst trainer I have ever seen on any workout video. It kind of ruined the workout. Not cool.
  • The Patriots game wasn’t on TV. They played the Redskins so I thought it would be, but it wasn’t! Again, not cool.
  • Today seemed to drag on forever. Maybe it’s because I got up at 7:30am. Maybe. Who knows. It was a long day. Ugh.

12/9/11

Highs:
  • It’s Friday. I really do love Fridays.
  • I got to see and talk to my crush today. He’s a different kind of crush (maybe I’ll explain later). I just really like talking to him.
  • Grimm was on. I’m starting to love this show. It’s so interesting, and it keeps me wanting to watch.

Lows:
  • I hate waiting. The day seemed to drag on while I waited to go back to work. Maybe it was because it was Friday? Or because I knew I was seeing my crush later. Either way, it dragged on, and I wasn’t happy about it.

11/26/11

Highs:
  • We went to Bonefish Grill for dinner. I got a delicious hamburger, and we got the Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer. Everything was tasty!
  • I ended up buying these fingerless mittens I wanted at New York and Co. I initially didn’t buy them since I thought Kristen would knit me some, but let’s me honest…who knows if that would ever happen.
  • Mom and I watched Psych. I think she enjoyed it.

Lows:
  • I was getting flustered in Kohls. First, I must have dropped something I had gotten for Mom (for Christmas) while I was walking to the register so I had to go back upstairs to get another one while the cashier waited (luckily it wasn’t busy). Then, the alarm thing went off when I walked out of the store. I had to go back in, and the manager dude took everything out of my bag to see what the deal was. Turns out, I didn’t steal anything (well, duh), and there was no clip they forgot to take off. Crazy alarm system. It was a little embarrassing though, that and dropping the item and having to go get another one. I hate being flustered when I shop. Ugh.

11/24/11

Highs:
  • It’s Thanksgiving! Happy Turkey Day!
  • The mashed potatoes and stuffing were delicious.
  • It was nice to relax all day, eat delicious food, spend time with family, and watch football.

Lows:
  • I realized I’m not a huge fan of turkey. I like it, but I didn’t have a lot for lunch/dinner, and I was okay with that.

11/23/11

Highs:
  • Modern Family was hilarious. It never disappoints.
  • I only worked from 7-8:30am. So nice not having to go back for a half day.
  • I got to catch up some taped TV shows.

Lows:
  • I had to get up at 5:45am just to work for an hour and a half. Didn’t seem worth it.
  • Psych wasn’t new tonight. Boo.
  • I’m kind of realizing Happy Endings isn’t that funny. I definitely wasn’t impressed with this episode tonight. I’m considering giving up on watching it. We’ll see.
  • This is a Tuesday low, but here it is anyway: Rob Kardashian did not win Dancing with the Stars. Tear. He came in second though and has changed so much throughout the competition. JR won, and I can’t be mad at that! I just would have liked to have seen Rob take the mirror ball; oh well, he did a great job nonetheless!

11/21/11

Highs:
  • Rob Kardashian topped the night on Dancing with the Stars! He got the highest score; it’s basically anyone’s game at this point.
  • The Patriots were on Monday Night Football, and they won 34-3.
  • Hawaii Five-0 was great!

Lows:
  • Work is annoying, and having to give up my staff for other centers is getting REALLY annoying. I’m tired of being short staffed.
  • Wes Welker only got me 4.20 points in Fantasy Football. I HAD a chance to shorten the lead, but now I’m back 53.16 points. Not cool.

11/20/11

Highs:
  • I found a new hair product that I like.
  • I had the realization that I’m only working 2 full days this week and then just the morning on Wednesday. Bring on the 4.5-day weekend!
  • I watched some good football games today. The Patriots don’t play until tomorrow night. Boo.
  • I had leftover Pad Thai and Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce for dinner. Still delicious the second time around.
  • I had killer numbers in Fantasy Football. My quarterback (Matthew Stafford) got me 77 points! It’s about time.

Lows:
  • The Ravens won. It was a pretty good game though.
  • It was kind of warm today. I thought it was supposed to be getting colder? It was almost 60 today.

11/19/11

Highs:
  • I went to Kohls and bought some cute earrings.
  • My sister and I ate out at Chopstix. It was delicious!
  • I met Carrie for lunch at PF Changs. I love PF Changs.
  • I found Grinch pajama pants at Target. Don’t be a Grinch! I also bought cute Christmas/holiday earrings. It was a 3-pack that came with: snowflakes, festive red/silver ones, and Santa penguins. Super cute!

Lows:
  • I was supposed to spend the night at Carrie’s house, and we were going to see Breaking Dawn too - it got canceled (but we still met for lunch!). It would have been nice to spend the night and hang out though.

11/17/11

Highs:
  • Tomorrow is Friday.
  • Community was on.

 Lows:
  • Making the lunches for the homeless was a little chaotic.
  • Our DVR is acting wonky so my Dad has to replace it, and now I’ll lose all of my shows that have been taped. Luckily, I didn’t have that many on there, but it’s still annoying.
  • I haven’t been that impressed with The Office since Steve Carell left. He needs to come back.
  • At work, I had a sub for one of my staff, and then I had to wait with her when it was time to leave since she was getting picked up by her dad and doesn’t have a car. I felt like a babysitter.

11/16/11

Highs:
  • Psych was on. This show is hilarious.
  • It’s Hump Day - half day through the week.
  • I uploaded new Glee songs to my iTunes.

 Lows:
  • It was rainy.

11/15/11

Highs:
  • Rob Kardashian was safe on Dancing with the Stars. I’ve developed a major crush on him.
  • I loved Glee’s mash-up of “Rumor Has It” and “Someone Like You”, both by Adele.
  • I got audited at work so that’s finally over with! Plus, they don’t come back for a second audit until February or March of next year.
  • I did well on the audit. I think we got a 97%.
  • Hope Solo went home on Dancing with the Stars (I’m so glad!). I have lost respect for her. She’s rude, has an attitude, and is manly <—that last one I just had to add.
  • I had a good workout. I finally did a preset program on the treadmill. We’ve had our treadmill for years, and I’ve never once did a preset program…until now.

Lows:
  • We got marked down for 2 stupid things on the audit.
  • I hate second Mondays (Tuesday).
  • Tuesdays are the day where we have the most kids come to the Y so it’s always hectic and loud.

11/13/11

Highs:
  • We got Subway for dinner. I forget how good Subway is; I should get it more often.
  • I had a semi-productive day.
  • I found a new favorite dance CD.
  • I had the house to myself for most of the day.

Lows:
  • Tomorrow is Monday.
  • I realized I have a full week of work ahead, along with a half day on Friday.
